Why Adult Day Health?

Bridging the gap between independence & long term care

Do you need to go back to work, take care of your family’s needs, take care of yourself? Research suggests that day health can benefit everyone by engaging the participant while allowing you to experience less stress (and therefore less illness).

Day health allows your loved one a cost-effective means to remain in familiar surroundings while benefiting from the social and medical care they need. Working with both participants and their caregivers, Project Independence strives to enhance the participants’ quality of life. You will receive individual support in a safe and secure environment.

We are Medicaid certified and funded by other health insurances, handicap accessible and licensed to accommodate 55 participants daily.

Serving the greater New Bedford area, our staff is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Creole, and are funded by Mass Health and other health insurances.
